First Aid at Work (RQF)

The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) is a comprehensive, Ofqual-regulated

course designed for those who want to become fully qualified workplace first aiders. This 3-day

training covers a wide range of medical emergencies and equips participants with the knowledge

and confidence to respond effectively.

The coursemeets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, making it ideal for employers who need to ensure full HSE compliance. Visit our guidance page to learn how to complete your First Aid needs assessment

What You’ll Learn:

Roles and responsibilities of a first aider CPR and defibrillation Managing unresponsive casualties Recovery position Choking Wounds, bleeding, and shock Burns and scalds Broken bones, fractures, and dislocations Seizures and epilepsy Anaphylaxis and asthma Stroke and heart attack Minor injuries If you work in a high-risk industry where catastrophic bleeding is a concern, an additional assessment can be included. For those in agriculture, forestry, or tree surgery, the Forestry First Aid +F module is also available as a recommended add-on to your main first aid course.

Course Details:

• Duration: 3 days • Certification: Valid for 3 years • Location: On-site at your workplace (Alnwick, Morpeth, and across Northumberland) • Accreditation: Qualsafe Awards | Ofqual-regulated
