The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in the Fundamentals of Outdoor First Aid (RQF) is a nationally recognised,

Ofqual-regulated qualification designed for those working in outdoor and activity-based

environments where additional support is nearby.

This course is ideal for roles such as outdoor instructors, sports coaches, teachers, and rural visit

leaders, providing the knowledge and confidence to manage a range of first aid situations that may

arise during outdoor activities.

What You’ll Learn:

• Roles and responsibilities of a first aider in an outdoor environment • How to safely assess an emergency incident • Providing first aid to an unresponsive casualty • Choking • Managing blood loss • Treating minor injuries • Stabilising and insulating casualties • Cardiac arrest • Unconsciousness • Drowning

Delivered over one extended day, the course focuses on practical outdoor first aid skills while

recognising that learners are not working in complete isolation.

For those who require more advanced training, a higher-level Outdoor First Aid qualification is also

available.

Duration: 1 Day (extended) Certification: Valid for 3 years Location: On-site delivery available across Alnwick, Morpeth, and Northumberland Accreditation: Qualsafe Awards | Ofqual-regulated
